Solo project started in 2006, 2methylBulbe1ol delivers a kind of music between melodic IDM and industrial Dubstep, including destructured rhythms, heavy bass, futuristic atmospheres and synthetic melancholy fed on noisy rage.
Initially a guitarist, 2methyl discovers fake music in 2006 after buying a drum machine. Instead of using it as a drummer for a grindcore orchestra, he fiddles with it in his bedroom. These experiments will end up in January 2008 on Ep "6 Months". Released via netlabel abYssa, this mini album combines melodic 8 bits Idm and destructured rhtythms. Then a new EP comes out in June 2008, titled "Dans l'Oreille d'un Sourd". Still on abYssa and still Idm. The tone gets more radical, gameboys leave space to the piano and chiming bells, the metallic percussions look closer to industrial music. End of 2008 he bonds with association Spécimen Urbain. The opportunity to perform live and offer a re-reading of his previous compositions in a more Indus/Dubstep vein.
May 2009 : using his savings he decides to press vinyls. EP "Quelques Siècles d'Insomnie" is released as a 12". It includes de-structured rhythms, futuristic atmospheres and synthetic melancholy fed on noisy rage.. More Indus and dark than ever... September 2009 : The EP is freely available on netlabel TestTube. December 2009 : Selection for the discovery contest of Printemps de Bourges and festival Electro-Clique.
2010 : release of LP with Niveau Zero on Ruff, a Peace Off sub-label.
