The singer-songwriter Alain Briant was born March 30, 1964 at the Garennes Colombes (92). He learned how to play the guitar at the age of 13. He founded his first rock band at the age of 17 with musical influences such as Taxi-Girl, The Stranglers, The Cure and Serge Gainsbourg.
In the 80’s, Alain Briant gave live performances in concert halls like the Gibus. Then in the 90s, he performed in almost every single cabaret in the region of Paris where he interpreted Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Jacques Dutronc, Serge Gainsbourg and Nino Ferrer.
In 1992, Alain Briant decided to move to Coutances in Normandy where he devoted himself to writing his own songs. In 1999 he released his first album "Les amours artificielles". Then in 2005 he launched his second album "Honneur et répondeur", and in 2010 the third album “A poils et imberbe” came out to light.
Alongside with his writing, Alain performed on stage : supporting Tété, Didier Super in Normandy (St. Lo), Festival Chauffer dans la Noirceur (Montmartin-sur-Mer), Le Limonaire (Paris), Le QG (Cherbourg) and in different places in Basse Normandie.
In total, Alain has over 200 concerts under his belt.
Alain Briant released his fourth album “Du Bruit” in February 2012.
