Dokhandeme

The Dokhandeme (in Wolof) is a permanent emigrant, a vagabond travelling to make a living, seeking jobs wherever he can at any time of year. This crew varying in number according to each project journeys between Reggae, Ragga and Hip Hop\ sung vocals and toasts, old versions of Jamaican reggae, afro rhythms played live, jungle and dance-hall. Born in 2000, this collective project gathers DJ Kostia (Mei Tei Sho's ex-guitarist) on turntables, vocals and various musical fiddling, Sir Jean (Mei Tei Sho's ex-singer) as crazy front-man, DJ Cherif on turntables, ancient scratch master and Nicolas Delaunay on drums and percussions. The Dokhandeme house is always open to passing guests following the chances of encounters, and offers other rappers and musicians the opportunity to share the stage thus proving that its only ambition is to offer you its own vision of music and today's world via lyrics in English, in French and in African languages. " So put on your dancing shoes cuz dancehall's nice again".
