Formed in 2006 by Bruno Di Placido (guitars) and Karine Dreveton (vocals), EKO ANIMO, a four piece outfit, create high energy independent rock music.
Anthony Azoulay (drums) joined the band last year then they recorded the album "Poem before destruction". Recently Manu Mercier (guitars) joined the band on stage.
EKO ANIMO is a unique mix of rock n roll and female intuition, following musical traditions such as The Kills , P. J. Harvey and Yeah Yeah Yeahs .
On their self produced debut album POEM BEFORE DESTRUCTION cutting guitars and sweet vocal lines are enhanced on some tracks by techno colors and a trippy horn section .
The music of Eko Animo is instant, savage, and highly inventive .
