Ben Merlin
Musician, singer and sometimes actress, who initially trained in opera but has since been in punk bands, created electronic scores and music, for concerts and theatre productions, Ben Merlin is part of the duo The Fabrik, created in 2003.
The Fabrik produce and tour live music/theatre, perform in concerts, create music and sound for theatre productions and record Vinyls and Cd’s. They are currently preparing Bloomst & Rocket, a series of sound and visual fresques/performances which act as modules for individual presentations or in combination to create a mega evening of music, theatre and machines.
The Fabrik have created music/sound for the collective, Un air de rien on numerous occasions.. For English choreographer Adam Benjamin Fabrik created and toured France, England and Switzerland with Steak. Fabrik inaugurated their group with a show for La Bâtie festival in Geneva, Histoire électronique (Ben and Guitos). With 8 musicians on laptops and a video artist improvising they created and toured Symphologic around Swiss Romandy.
Ben Merlin has also created music and sound for Cie Pasquier-Rossier, for Cie Le Coût du Lapin, for the Theatre of the Marotte and Cabaret Voyage, for Cie Angledange and for the creation of Eglantine with Lee Maddeford and Adrien Rachieru in Switzerland since 1998.
She was part of the collective IMO in the Rhone-Alps region in 1997 and also in the punk band Les filles de la station Shell, who performed all over Lausanne including many times at the MAD (mega-club Lausanne.).
In 1996 Merlin worked with Swiss, visual artist, Pipilotti Rist on and in her exhibition Shooting Divas.
Guitos
Musician and other half of duo Fabrik which has been composing, creating and/or performing for theatre, dance, concerts and experimental DJ sessions in clubs and galleries in France and Switzerland since 2003.

Guitos Fournier is also the founder of El, an experimental music collective in Dijon. They were the opening act for Lali Puna.With rock group Phlegm, Guitos performed as an opener for the likes of Hood/ Mogwai/ Tin Foil Star, also performing a live for Noise Museum, a production with Lykill record and Bubulegum. He made performance appearances with sound and/or film at various galleries around Dijon including Ping Pong, Tanneries or Lumino-plasma.
Guitos Fournier is also a drummer and a chef.
