FAKE ODDITY (France / Turkey)
Fake Oddity is a rock band settled in Lyon. Made of Istanbul born Faik and 3 musicians from all corners of France. Tonio, bearded guitarist, and hair twins bass/cello player Mat and drummer/ percussionist Fred.
In 6 years of existence they managed to conquered the media and the French public with their almost epileptic stage energy. Faik's Doorsesque charisma, the musicians devastating precision as well as an exceptional sincerity and continuous work have placed them on the top list of the new generation of English singing French bands.
With already two albums, their music has come to full maturity in their latest album « RUNFAST » recorded at studio IMAJ in Istanbul and released in France on September 1st 2008. Between 70's rock and rather modern sounds, it invites you on a journey resulting from the colliding of two cultures.

Following a pre-tour in 2007-2008 (Bars en Trans, Printemps de Bourges pre-selection, Chorus des Hauts de Seine band contest, Flèche d'Or of Paris...), Muzikotek (EMI Turkey) produced their album, independent label Médiatone signed them for France leaving the distribution to Discograph while EMI deals with the publishing.
The critically acclaimed album (Tsugi, Longueur d'Ondes, Rock'n'Folk...), was selected by OUÏ FM's BPI and reach 2nd place in the Férarock charts on its release... The band is now ready to conquer the world so be ready for Fake Oddity.
