Claude Violante and Thomas Carteron (aka Tony) met in Paris and created the band Haussmann in 2007.
Haussmann creates a very liberating, dreamy and intriguing kind of music, with an undercurrent of ideas, such as a melancholic picture of pop.
Their songs are informed by the history of French music, and reveal an ambivalent fascination with dance, love and death hymns.
Their first album is in progress and produced by celebrated French artist and producer Krikor.
