Joan Cambon

Joan Cambon is a french musician / producer / sound engineer. He plays a music based on acoustic and organic sounds, modified by electronic tools.
He made soundtracks and music for theatre and contemporary dance (Pierre Rigal, Aurélien bory - Compagnie 111, Laurent Pelly, Agathe Mélinand). He published his first solo album in 2011 : a soundtrack for Aurélien Bory’s show « sans objet », a performance for an industrial robot and two actors that has been touring around the world since 2009. All the sounds on this record come from his electric bass.

He also plays music with the project Arca, that he shares with Sylvain Chauveau : bass, programming, keyboards, guitar and production. Arca has made four records since 2000 that has been often broadcasted or reviewed on radios, TVs and magazines around the world, and toured in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain. Arca composed two soundtracks for the French choreographer Pierre Rigal.
Joan has been making sound (live or records) for several artists (Sylvain Chauveau, Pas De Printemps Pour Marnie, Punish Yourself, My favorite dentist is dead, Angle…), worked for Radio France, video companies and is now working for the Toulouse National Theatre (TNT).
