Large formation (between 8 and 10 musicians on stage), K2R Riddim draw their influences at the heart of 50 years of Jamaican music (ska, reggae, ragga with regular jazz and funk openings). In 8 years, our northern fellas have renewed their repertoire while becoming, beyond fashions and media coups, a central band on the French scene of « musiques actuelles ». Turning down major companies offers when French reggae was booming on the radios, the band has always stuck to the search and the use of alternative solutions, standing out both by their musical universe and the values their carry with it. These musicians truly are devoted to their development and take part in every aspect of it and create with their manager in January 2000 their own label (Aïlissam), thus proving that artistic independence is here to last.
