Formation created by Jean-Claude Normand, former member of Glaz (one of the first French celtic rock bands of the 90's), Land's End is created in 1999.
Still it's hard to label them, you could talk of « progressive rockwith celtic pop colours ». Around Jean-Claude Normand (claviersvarious keyboards, vocals) are gathered Breton music regulars among Land's end : Hilaire Rama (bass), Gilles Le Bigot (acoustic guitar), Ludovic Mesnil (electric guitar), Sylvain Barou (bagpipes and flutes), Jacques Moreau (percussions), and Patrick Boileau (drums). Two guests also join the band : Loïc Bléjean, ex Glaz (uillean, pipes, low whistle) and Goulven Henaff (bombarde).
A kind of musical « dream team ». Here is a real communion between musicians. On modern rhythms and atmospheric ambiances, Jean-Claude Normand sings his visions about the world and his hopes always with the mysticism brought by his celtic culture.
Bretanny, though not at the core of it, is never far away in this project, wheteher in the songs or in the band's name ...
