Na+ + Cl- was born from the encounter between Stephane Clor and Arnaud Corbellari at Conservatoire de Strasbourg. Their idea was to intertwine the practices of improvised music to the practices of electro music. Starting from an atonal and arrhythmic repertoire, the duo quickly has a go at other forms of construction, but always through improvisation. Each recording or track comes from a work on sampling and superimposition of instruments, while bearing in mind the spirit of dynamic and scansion which gives meaning to the music and allows it to be articulated into some intelligible language. The result of a three weeks' residential work session for the Nuit Blanche de Metz comes out the idea to keep a trace of the work achieved through improvisation and encounter between the two repertoires; a couple of months later will be released their first 5-track EP : “Recyclage”.
