EXPEDISOUND CHINA, Yunnan province, is the result of collaboration between the IOT Records label, Full Rhizome and Dynamogenie, a collective created to boost multicultural exchanges.
Nine months of immersion in the vast Chinese empire, to the discovery of the Naxi, an ethnic minority of pre-Himalayan plateau of Yunnan, with shamanic practices and a remarkable culture.
Without caravan of trucks or onboard sound system, this third Expedisound gives a new look to the serie. With a close-knit team, travel and encounters become more intimate and depth, to reach other artistic horizons; a documentary and a CD over a rare musical tradition, an ethno-electro CD with 20 musicians from all style, a sound bank and multi-dimensional bonuses taking us into crossing China from north to south.
