There is a long road from the 30's which took us to the Paname Dandies. The bang is formed by Sammy Hassid, lead singer and rhythmic guitar, ex-singer in the Parisian Metro, Ex-member of Casablanca ( a real alternative big band), ex-leader of Sammy and His Friends; Fred Loizeau, solo guitar and singer, student and musicians of Romane and Moreno, composer of Pauline Ester (author of "oui, je l'adore") and musician of Sanseverino; Hervé Pouliquen, double bass player of Sanseverino, Angelo Debarre and famous musician of Russian tzigan Music, then Charly Doll, drummer, musician for many famous artists like Céline Dion, Gildas Harzel or Anggun who comes back to his first love and finally, the Tap Dancer and singer "Philou" Nagau who worked for many musicals from Milan to London, member of "Blues de Paris" and "Harlem Swing" and actor. The Paname Dandies, everybody sing, everybody swing, a large musical universe, but consistent, where we cross Charles Trenet, Boris Vian, Django Reinhardt, the taste great jazz orchestras like Ray Ventura or Fred Adison, but also influences from Harlem in the late 30's, Ellington, Slim & Slam, jump and Lindy Hop.
A happy maker show, but also in the corner of a street, when there is nowhere else, personal songs in the spirit fo time, of the other time, full of references to today, funny, sometimes, surrealistic, acid, honestly nostalgic, but always swinging et poetic.
On March the 31st, their first album has been released, named "le swing de l'Escargot" (the swing of the snail) referring to the map of Paris and its areas.
The rumour says "Nobody else do that" , "nobody look like them" and everybody is happy. Deliciously outdated but so efficient, Paname Dandies are simply Popular, accessible and delightful.
Paname Dandies, swing, swing, songs and taps.
