Programme is an iconoclast band who drives rock, hip hop and electro into a corner, with particular care for the committed aspect of their texts, singed in French. Programme started in 1998 after the split of the band Diabologum. Programme members are Arnaud Michniak, Diabologum ex-leader, and Damien Bétous, specialist in electro acoustics.
Programme's first album, Mon cerveau dans ma bouche (My brain in my mouth), composed of 10 tracks, was released in February 2000. The second album, l'Enfer tiède (Tepid Hell), composed of 8 tracks, was released in april 2002. Both on greatly missed Lithium label. These two albums had an important impact in the media. The critics where enthusiastic, in musical press as well as in national daily and weekly press. In 2002, Programme had been on a European tour. They were in the line up of important festivals such as Les Francofolies de la Rochelle, Trans Musicales, Primavera Sound, Dour Festival, Pukklepop... Bogue was realised as a command of the French radio station France Culture for the Atelier de Création Radiophonique, in 2003. It was broadcasted one time in February 2003. This free and inventive project is released today as a mini-album. Bogue is an incisive project very representative of Programme's style\ the album is out after two years without releasing an album, and a consequent tour. Lyrics are declaimed as in rap or spoken word, and the music evolves in the fields of rock and sometimes concrete music.
