In 2011, they released their debut album, JUDGEMENT DAY, and gained popularity and presence locally and internationally, with a few of the songs – such as the track « Judgement Day » and hit single « Far Away » – receiving rotation on the air waves and even found their way onto a few charts. And there was a heavy demand for the band’s thrilling live performances at various shows. Their talent and versatility enables them to aptly adjust the intensity of their flame. So whether at an intimate acoustics set or a large stage shows such as Rebel Salute and Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, they steadily captured the hearts of the Jamaican listeners. In that same year the band hit the road to perform on the international stages of South America as well as to headline several major reggae festivals in Europe such as Summerjam in Germany, Rototom Sunsplash in Spain and Garance Festival in France.
Today they’re back with a brand new album entitled DESTINY as if everything was written and that somebody sent us Raging Fyah to preserv positivity in that world … An album which illustrate again this desire to cross frontlines and barriers to burn them and make it definitly disappear. Well we are in the middle of the rebirth of a real roots reggae music before defended by mans like Bob Marley, and it’s so good to hear ! Even if cliché will be always existing we can not forget that reggae music is a positive music full of unity and fraternity, this is its very essence !
Through DESTINY we can taste a roots deeply inspired by its first year of existance but mixed with some rock and pop influences like on « Brave » where the keyboard is taking a fabulous and unexpected place. Fight is continuing too with tracks like « Barriers », « Step Outta Babylon » or « Fight » which is sofftly starting the album. And « Nah Look Back » is a realy hit a jewel to consume as much as you like, pure Raging Fyah’s sound !!
