Red Rails

Red Rails was born from the encounter between Baltazar Montanaro-Nagy (French-Hungarian violinist with multiple influences who develops a certain interest for open music) and Japanese Tadahiko Yokogawa (acousmatic and CAM master, also fond of fiddling with the musical material and who, via his electronic approach, allows an almost infinite use of the violin). Serge Ortega comes to top up this violin/computer conversation with effects and samples, playing on intensities, colours and filters while finely working on sound spatialisation. Red Rails is to be experienced as an electro-acoustic poem where Tadahiko's repetitive loops answer Baltazar's traditional inspirations and produce a quasi cinematographic music, that creates a perpetually moving sonic landscape.
