RIDDIMPERIALISM is a dub project from Nancy which was born in September 2006. The crew is based on a massive rythm section having a good experience of both studio and stage.
With a Dub Professor as a sidekick they develop a heavy sound using jamaican-like analog effects and samples or spoken word more typical from the french dub scene.
These One Drop addicts try to multiply collaborations with a maximum of guests: singers, horns sections, traditional instruments...trying to diversify their sound and riddims far from the minimalist english dub.
A first demo was recorded in December 2006 in Studio B Flat and mixed in London in Black Work Studio by Professor Wya. An EP, including studio and live tracks came out in July 2007.
The first LP ("Roots PropaganDub") with lots of featurings is available.
