Prior to their mass success, the Sargent had a life as a guitarist among LV88, sometimes having a go at toasting with Bawawa Son, before elaborating his own sound digitally mixing reggae, raggamuffin and salsa music. After "Salsamania", released in June 96 on compilation "Tchatche Attack", the album "iViva El Sargento!", amazing Latino-Caribbean festival, is released by Crash in May 97. Most of these tracks will appear on the second album (Virgin), which will benefit from a massive promo and tours placing the songs high in the charts.
