After a musical and vocal training at Centre polyphonique Ariam Ile de France then at the Ecole de jazz ARPEJ, Simone Tassimot comes back to her fisrt passion : songs... She performs in Paris in various cafés-chansons (Limonaire, Ailleurs, Connétable...) and at cabaret Le Loup du Faubourg.
In 1991, she awarded the prix d'interprétation at Gala de la Presse, in Nancy. She creates several shows : Chansons d'escales, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, La Fille des bars, Carnaval, Léo Ferré et les poètes (Aragon, Rimbaud, Verlaine, Baudelaire, Apollinaire), Qui j'aime, D'une fin de siècle à l'autre... She sings throughout France and abroad.
In 2000 Simone Tassimot is awarded the Prix de la Ville de Vanves for Best illustration of the repertoire (Vive la Reprise, Centre de la Chanson).
In 2003, le Loup du Faubourg produce her first album mixing cover and original songs (14 tracks).
In 2004, composer Jean-Marie Sénia writes a song for her which she records for Karine Saporta's show L'Envers du Music-Hall at the Comédie-Française, Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier.
In 2006, she creates the show Simone Tassimot chante le Gainsblues at Théâtre La Fenêtre (Paris), which she reprises in 2007 at l'Archipel (Paris) and at the Moulin d'Andé (Normandy), but also in Germany, Bulgaria, Poland and Ireland...
Simone Tassimot is also a comedienne and a reader.
She performs with one or several musicians in libraries where she sets up Reading-shows about various themes and authors (Rimbaud, Fantômas...).
In 2006, she acts with Fabienne Babe and Marie-Claude Treilhou in Jérôme Reybaud's average-length film Trois dames pour Jean-Claude Guiguet.
Several writers and composers (Jean-Marie Sénia...)are currently writing new songs for her.
