Technicolor hobo do not fit into any musical category. With 4 French, one English and an American: Patrick Atkinson (guitar/vocals) Jean Christian Rieu (drums), Yves Johannhardt (bass), Géraldine Agostini (piano) Jason Lichau (trumpet) and Christophe Robert (clarinet). the group creates an atmospheric, hypnotic, pop(ish), jazzy(ish), psychedelic sound. Having formed in Marseilles in 2006, firstly as a classic three piece, the band quickly began adding instruments that are not always used in the formal rock sound. Even though the songs are built around a pop structure, on stage the band have tendencies to improvise and try and take their music further than their own imaginations. A second album is in its final stages of being written (its working title: Medication) and should be released at the end of 2009.
