X-TV

Sometimes it's good to come back to simplicity. No artefacts, no disproportion nor excessive sophistication with X-TV. The concept is elementary : 3 acoustic guitars, 3 composers, 3 vocals. A trinity united by a common passion ; the permanent quest for a melody that will find its way to your brain. Influenced by the minimalistic acoustic pop of Kings Of Convenience, Iron and Wine, Simon And Garfunkel, The Beatles, Elliott Smith or Jets to Brazil, the band's sole ambition is to join you or your journeys, in motion or not. Who's behind X-TV ? Vincent, producer and multi-instrumentalist sound engineer, he perfects his arrangements is his studio, among his many guitars and wood essences from Ardêche. From the South-East of France, he started among pop punk formations like Baby On Board, Daddy Sucks or Discount. Then there's Trint, better known for his Punk Rock odyssey on the road as singer-guitarist of Uncommonmenfrommars and for his acoustic Gibson guitar fondness. Finally, there's Tristan. To him, X-TV is the most attractive side of a double life spend among the towers of la Défense, A necessary creative perfusion. Three universes, three personnalities and three friendships which the so particular touch of X-TV's music.
After five years' work, the début album by X-TV « Three is a Crowd », is finally released. Nine thoroughly crafted, produced by the band, recorded and mixed by Vincent, mastered by Michaël Fossenkemper at Turtletone Studio in New York (New Amsterdams, Matthew Pryor,…).

Why « Three is a Crowd » ? If 3 acoustic guitars could seem old-fashioned in a musical landscape where throat noises and hair eccentricity rule, the intensity of the tracks by X-TV is genuine.

This intensity is whet the three fellows want to preserve above all else for, though the adventure started long ago, if feels like it's only just begun. A common will and need to meet the people who like their songs, the nine tracks of « three is a crowd » are only the start of a long journey. And you are kindly invited to take a seat.
