Association located in Toulon since 2007, Watsü Sound creates bonds between local bands so as to federate and support the existence of a genuine independent scene in Toulon.
Ambitious project, imagined for long term activity, it was born from a realization : the existence of a genuine pool of emerging musicians and bands with neighbouring aesthetics on the Toulon area. Aesthetics inherited from Anglo-Saxon currents from the 80s to our days such as Post Rock, Power Pop, Cold Wave, Post Punk, Indie, Shoe-gaze, Lo-Fi, Electro, Pop...
Waddle, Appletop, Tatiana Sauvage and ümlaut are four bands that decided to initiate a collective structuring to give meaning to this reality. So they created the Watsü Sound association.
This structure dedicated to the support of artists developed different activities such as the organisation of concerts, events, booking and launched in 2007 its record making activity with three releases by its artists : the 3rd album by Tatiana Sauvage, 1st EP by ümlaut and the 1st album by Waddle.
Association Watsü Sound collaborates with and benefits from the support of Tandem, Midi Festival, and recently launched festival Rockorama.
2009 saw the arrival of new bands among the collective, with new recording projects for 2010.
