Raymonde Howard is the artistic alter ego, the solo project, the ideal and fantastical costume of Lætitia Fournier.
Easy to see through this Saint-Etienne singer/guitarist and the many bands she took part in since the middle of the 90s (Goofball, Kiss Kiss Martine, La Seconda Volta) the portrait of the frenetic rock scene of her region. A ‘riot girl’ as one could say. Lætitia's roots are clearly punk, noise and chicks with guitars. It took a whole year in England and a 4-track recorder for Lætitia to reveal Raymonde Howard, her solo identity, obviously more intimate, obviously more in the nude than behind a walls of amps.
Detail of ingredients : Lætitia/Raymonde spends her English year near Reading, assembling ideas of songs which she will record on a 4-track as soon as she gets back to France (the 1st 10-track eponymous album released on her micro-label Angry Ballerina Records in 2006). A ground for musical affirmation in solo where the voice is not hidden by guitars any more but proudly put forward, where sounds get less saturated and more authentic.
